"Syntax" is a song by the electric rock band Battle Tapes featured in the episode "There's Always Tomorrow", after Miguel Garza's visit to Julian Chase, and is referred to by Chase as "Night Tunes Three".

Lyrics Edit

I think I might be losing myself this time
It’s like a slip of the tongue in the turning of tides
I get caught in the words, I over explain
I can’t help myself, it’s happening again

And if we let go
And I know, I know, I know, I know we catch fire
And if we let go We burn so bright the night turns into day

It use to be so easy
To tell If I was dreaming
What use to be a memory
Forever drifting endlessly with you

My heart doesn’t beat like then
When I first saw your face and tasted your skin
As the sun goes down casting shades of doubt, I’ve been here before
What’s lost out to sea doesn’t always wash ashore

And if we let go
And I know, I know, I know, I know we catch fire
And if we let go We burn so bright the night turns into day

It use to be so easy
To tell If I was dreaming
What use to be a memory
Forever drifting endlessly with you

It use to be so easy
To tell If I was dreaming
What use to be a memory
Forever drifting endlessly with you

Forever drifting endlessly with you

And I know, I know, I know, I know we catch fire
Forever drifting endlessly with you

Syntax
I've been broken down so far
I get lost in the words that you say
Just drifting away

Syntax
I've been broken down so far
I get lost in the words that you say
Just drifting away

Syntax
I've been broken down so far
I get lost in the words that you say
Just drifting away

Syntax
I've been broken down so far
I get lost in the words that you say
Just drifting away
